COMMUNICATION
By setting up an account and registering with CheaperCopies.com, you are agreeing that it is ok for us to contact you by email regarding information about your current jobs or possible future jobs, including but not limited to: promotions and coupons, invoices, issues with files, issues with payment, special offers, etc. We also offer text-message notifications on your job's progress (opt-in only).
Automated emails will include an option for "opting out" of future electronic communications. If you do not see an opt-out option or you wish to discontinue future communication with our customer service members, please let us know by email. In some cases we may call in addition to email, such as a processing delay on a time-sensitive job. You are responsible for following the progress of your job's production. We cannot be held responsible for missed emails, phone calls, bad phones numbers, etc. For this reason please be sure to include several valid contact options.
PROOFS
If you request a digital proof and do not approve it within 4-business days, your order will go to print and will be printed according to our best judgment or history with that particular customer.
FULL BLEED/WHITE BORDERS AROUND PAGES
With digital printing, the type of printers which we utilize, the printer requires an 1/8" space to grip the paper, so the printer itself leaves a 1/8" white border around the page. We do offer the option to cut-off those white borders on single-page printing, but the result is a slightly smaller page (8.25" x 10.75").
To achieve an edge to edge print at 8.5" x 11" for example, the artwork would need to be 8.75" x 11.25" or larger, and that would be printed on a 9" x 11.5" sheet of paper. This would leave extra image space in the cutting area, so after the sheet is cut down to 8.5" x 11", there would be no chance of any white borders showing.
If you would like full bleed printing, please contact us to make sure we have the paper available to achieve this, and we will also advise you of the extra charges associated with that service.
SETUP CHARGE
If your files are not print ready, we will contact you and let you know if any charges would be involved with correcting your files.
HEAVY-INK COVERAGE CHARGE
If your artwork is deemed by us to have heavy-ink coverage (i.e. dark colors that cover a large portion of the page), you may be assessed a heavy-ink coverage charge which we will inform you of before taking any further action. Single-sided copies/prints with page counts higher than 2500 are generally not assessed this charge.
WARNING
Low-resolution images don't print well! Images taken off the Internet, particularly 72dpi images, look jagged and fuzzy when printed. To avoid this we recommend that your images be at least 300dpi (dots per inch).
During the printing process the paper can bounce in the machine up to 1/8", resulting in a minor variance of image placement.
We do not print any pornographic or 'adult related' products, or any content deemed illegal.
We do not guarantee exact colors. Colors shown on screens vary from device to device. We cannot guarantee our toner and print quality will be preserved if you run these through another machine after receiving them, for example: printing addresses from an Excel file onto preprinted postcards. Toner may streak or become otherwise distorted depending on your machine's processes.
SHIPPING POLICY
All orders received after 2p.m. PST will go into production the next working day. Rush orders are available (see below). Orders over $125 ship free. Orders less than $125 will be charged a flat-fee of $12.
All packages returned to CheapCopies.com due to customer error in address information can be re-shipped at the regular shipping cost. If we have to change the shipping address on the order there will be a $20.00 charge assessed to the customer.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEE
We stand behind the quality of our products and services so far as the criteria in question are within our control. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the job, please let us know within 15 days. This is the longest that we keep samples, so verifying errors beyond that becomes difficult. Orders are considered closed and cannot be reprinted, returned or refunded after 15 days.
We cannot be held responsible for issues which were present already in your uploaded files such as image resolution, typos, file errors, or formatting issues, but we do make every effort to catch and alert you to such problems before printing. We also cannot be responsible for jobs which are ordered "wrong" (e.g. you chose the wrong paper, meant to choose double-sided printing, etc). You will have several opportunities to review and correct the information you've entered.
Color Matching: Most digital printing technology is not capable of exact PMS color matching. Instead we compare the first copies to how your files look on our print station monitors, which are calibrated daily to ensure the most accurate brightness, colors and tones. We will make any adjustments within our control when necessary to ensure a pleasing result. We print with a CMYK color profile and recommend you design or convert your file to this before uploading. Printing an RGB file in CMYK, for example, may result in unexpected color variances.
RETURNS / REFUNDS
Compensation will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Depending on circumstances, CheapCopies.com may issue a refund, a store credit or a reprint for all or part of the job.
GUARANTEED DELIVERY / DEADLINES
We strive to meet or exceed expectations with our estimated delivery dates.
- Hard deadlines/delivery dates must be clearly stated in the Job Notes
- We cannot be responsible for missed deadlines or event dates which weren't noted or selected/paid for at checkout. Deadlines communicated via phone are not valid until your order is placed so we can match it up in our system.
CUSTOMER DISKS & SUPPLIED DIGITAL INFORMATION
All prices and quotes provided by CheapCopies.com assume the customer provides properly prepared files following file setup guidelines. The customer accepts all responsibility for supplied files that fail to output properly, contain errors or provide an unacceptable result. CheapCopies.com will make every effort to discover problems in the file's pre-flight stage but accepts no responsibilities for errors not detected. We strive to provide the best quality possible but sometimes there are uncontrollable copy machine marks. These include drum marks, random dots, and even sometimes lines. To avoid this we recommend that your images be 300dpi (dots per inch)
INDEMNIFICATION
The customer affirms ownership of publication rights to all artwork, photos and other material submitted for printing and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CheapCopies.com from any and all lost, cost, expense and damages on account of any and all manner of claims, demands, action and proceeding that may be instituted against CheapCopies.com on grounds that said printing violates any copyright or any proprietary right of any person, or that it contains any material that is libelous or scandalous, or invades any persons right to privacy or other personal right. The customer agrees to, at the customer's own expense, promptly defend and continue the defense of such claim, demand, action or proceeding, that may be brought against CheapCopies.com provide that CheapCopies.com shall notify the customer with respect thereto. 30 days after an order is marked as shipped from our facility is considered final.
We reserve the right to refuse to any customer for reasons such as, but not limited to, hate speech, offensive material, pornography/sexual imagery, or excessively unpleasant or abusive communications with our team members. Prices may vary without notice. This terms and policy agreement applies to CheapCopies.com orders.
